haha i think revvin is right about the rap song observation, there is a lot of misunderstanding going on here, el is trying to explain why t2's don't need nitrous to go fast,, i think, rob is talking about how 7's are always in the garage, and apex is talking about driving skills and how elliot blew his engine, haha which he didn't by the way... anyway let's talk about the fact of how good of an idea a turbo kit for n/a's but how hard it will be to make them work well for a cheap price eh?
The one thing that a 6 port lacks is torque. Turbos make torque, contrary to popular belief. If i had 40 more ft/lbs i would be very happy. Therefore a small t3/t4 or a 60-1 or a KKK k33 would work really good. I will only buy the kit if it runs an externally wastegated setup.

KKK turbo + external wastegate = expensive. And not nesesary for low boost.

Personally I like the Mitsubishi turbos better. Just used to them I guess.

Haha I told bigturbo you must have been drinking LOL

Its all good man, I was thinking to myself god I know this guy way more mature than this what the hell is going on here..

Ace- I tore my motor apart, and both rotors had blown apex seals. The housings were gouged in the areas between the exhaust port and powe cycle area. I'm pretty sure that area is where torque is made.

The motor was blown before I bought it, you know how I know? It had a lopey idle like a huge sideport, had no torque, and couldn't spool my turbo. I was running on average 4psi, wouldn't spool till 6k in 1st.
You symptoms don't necessarily imlpy that the motor is blown. I once had a similar problem and it turned out to be a problem with the throttle body. [/quote]

I actually know a local formula atlantic guy that pulled and rebuilt his own motor 5 times before realizing that he wasnt getting full throttle. .....basics, basics, basics.

my point was a turbo N/A motor having "only" 200hp is just as good

in my opinion as a stock TII.

To compare it to a modded TII is silly. One could always mod the turbo N/A as well.

And there are alot, not all, but alot of TIIs that DO spend more

time broken then running. Whats the point of having 250-300 hp if

it only runs long enough to go on the dyno?

and RotoryDragon- I think its the opposite- there are alot more

N/A running around on original drivetrains then TIIs. But any car

abused long enough will break. People go buying a 15+ year old car and

go to the track or autocross, do donuts and burnouts with it and then wonder why they break something.
