I don't think turbochargin an NA engine is for half-assers...I feel the exact opposite, you better know what ur getting into when playing w/ higher compression and boost....

most TII guys are lucky to have 200whp anyhow, so whats the big deal

might as well tell someone who wants a 350hp TII to give it a 150Hp nitrous shot

and call it a day
Rob where can i get some of that crack you are smoking? Almost everoyne I know with a t2 has near 250 at the wheels, or will by Spring.

You don't need nitrous with a t2, just crank up boost.

Now n/as have no real way to get power, even porting doesn't yeild that much for them, and from looking at dyno graphs over the past 3 yrs, it seems that n/as are NOT worth modding at all.

bah you know 4 people with t2's including yourself and like 1 of them has their car running,,, so technically they have zero hp! haha, so hold on what the hell are you two kids arguing about? why n/a's are slow? i like rob's idea, throwing in a nos without having to go front mount and new fuel setup...

Nitrous isnt exactly a safe proposition either. There are alot of variables that can kill a nitrous charged engine. Either way, your not gonna fly through the backroad curves with nitrous. Its more for drag racing, stoplight wars and 2F2F movies.

Ok 1revvin7...i'm going to let you have it right now. You bought a junkyard motor, slapped a big hairdryer on it, and blew it up. You bought a motor of dubious origin and didnt rebuild it. I have been on the forum for a little over a year and your car ran for about 3 days..maybe a week, i dont remember. All you did was complain that it didnt make boost.

I dont have anything personal against you.

I never saw a thread with you compression checking it. you post threads of everything you do to the car.

"just crank the boost" .....................bang

There is a lot more to racing than ******* dragging and stupid *** male souvinist street racing. I would LOVE to see you try to hold your own on a road course in that car against other b-prod cars that you would be classified with. NA is the ONLY route to go if you are doing any sort of EMRA,SCCA,NASA, canyon carving, You know, what real racers and drivers do. My Vert is slow, and mostly stock exept for a t2 driveline, i love it and its fast enough.

Boost Rules

Nitrous Rules

If you cant pick between one or the other,

Get Both ! ! !

If you cant have both then Shut UP, pick one,

tune your car for your chosen poison, and have fun.

N/A + Turbo + Proper Tuning + Beefed up drive line = A TII Eater

TII + T66 + Nitrous + Proper Tuning = Every thing eater ! !

It all comes down to What are your goals, how much money you got, and how much dedication you have to metting your goals. If you want a 10 sec. N/A motor on boost get ready for some money flinging. Same thing as if you want a TII to do 10s with N2O or whatever.

I'm not being an ***...but are you saying drag racing isn't real racing?? When I first had my SE, I wanted to just stick to autoX and drift type stuff, ya know..curves? but then all my buddies and everybody I knew was into to drag racing, so I got into that...and let me tell you..having done both and been around both for a long time, Drag racing is more then just going in a straight line!

On a side note...my car is built for both
