Ace- I tore my motor apart, and both rotors had blown apex seals. The housings were gouged in the areas between the exhaust port and powe cycle area. I'm pretty sure that area is where torque is made.

If both rotors had bad apex seals then I doubt that it sounded like a big streetport. It was probably more like an old volkswagen.

I had all of my local rx7 buddies check it out, and one with a large streetport said it sounded exactly like his car. I dunno either way its going to have a super lopey idle this spring
