More details on my cold start problem
#1
Okay, so last night I go out to my car, get in, and start it up. Now, consider that fact that my car has been sitting for 24 hours at around 55 deg F. It again gives me the cold start problems it has been giving me in the past month or so, but this time even worse and for a longer duration. So I sit there, casually pushing the throttle, listening to the car almost die. The more I push in the accelerator, the more it hesitates. But if I barely push it in, it will rev up fine, until I push it in too far.
So I just sat there, waiting for my car to warm up, listening closely. It almost sounded like there was a popping in the muffler (like too rich of a mixture) and I thought I smelled gasoline. So finally the car warmed up, and it ran fine, actually quicker than ever due to the cold air.
Any ideas? It obviously has to do with the car being cold, what what would the cold temp effect such that the car would hesitate. A sensor I suppose? My gas mileage hasn't been the best lately, but that is probably because of how I drive my car; i can't really tell.
Oh yea, another hint, I parked the car after driving it like 5 miles or so, and it sat for 4 hours, then I started just fine, no hesitation.
