I am going to build an exhaust stystem, and I am wondering were I can get some mechanical auxilary port openers. I want keep the 5th and 6th ports because I would like to have that little bit more low end torque. So it anyone could tell me were I can get these and what they cost I would be greatly thankful. And also on a different topic, I will post some pictures of the exhaust when I get it put together. But would anyone be interested in buying side exit exhaust if I made them??? Or maybe fiberglass cold air boxes, but I haven't even tryed to make one of those yet.

That's a bitch!!! I wonder how hard it would be to make electromagnetic one's. That will take a really long **** to think of how that would work

umm u can just keep them liek they are, if u are talkign about removing teh air pump on the s5 car then u need to get a diffrent kinda of air pump to open them up, i am about to wire up this little electric air pump i have i will let u know how it goes. i will do a write up on this upon completion. if u have an s4 then your 6 ports are exhaust pressure operated and u dont have to worry abotu this.

Yes I know how they work, and mine work fine right now, but there is a small catch that is know. I am building a side exit exhaust and will have it complete once my spintech's get here, but I don't want to weld the auxilary ports pipe that they get back pressure from to the exhaust since it will be a true dual, and I really don't think it will have enough back pressure even if I did. Because it is 2 in all the way out the car, has mufflers that won't give very much backpressure at all, and will be coming out right under the passengers side door. So that is the resoning for want mechanical, or some other form of thingy to open the ports. And I'm at another loss for words right now so I'm going to quite typeing.

I'm to the point of just switching between wiring them open and wiring them shut depending on what I'm doing... I just can't get enough backpressure anymore to open them at a consistent RPM... I swapped in 3 different sets of actuators and cleaned the port sleeves and everything.. doesn't matter. I think the added weight of having inserts in the sleeves may have caused this.

all of the actuators work the same, so you can hook any of them up to an airpump and have the ports work

I think I'll just take mine out, and hope the true duals give me the low end torque back.

Ahhh, thanks a bunch, that is like the miracle fix, I had heard some one talk of an air pump to open there auxilary ports but I never quit looked into it when I heard them talking about it. Thanks again.
