I just let the factory metering pump do its job with regular oil changes i have no problems. My moms 1990 s5 just came up to 300000ks engines still running strong (owned from new). Will probably rebuild later this year , somethings gotta be worn. Some kart 2 stroke mixes do smell nice though.

MMO has allot of detergents & is not at all 2-stroke oil & shouldn't be use as such. It also doesn't stay suspended in the gas very well. (i.e. it separates) It's good for keeping the fuel system clean. Just a little here & there. Defiantly shouldn't be used for premix.

So I am using TCW3 rated similar to outboard marine oil this is correct yes?

The reason I had asked was because I was warning a friend that he shouldnt just use MMO after he had told me MMO was all I needed and he said "You go ahead and put in 2 stroke oil into your tank and see how long your car runs" LOL.....and I was pretty sure that I read TCW3 is a good rated premix oil if anyone can give suggestions I am up for anything, I am using very generic Wal Mart Super Tech 2 Stroke oil, its a dark blue, smells good and burns clean.

Marrine and grade 2-stroke is about as high quality you can get besides some Redline or Royal Purple. It HAS to be uber clean burning because of being used in the water, and it should protect perfectly since its mean to keep combustion chambers lubed.

I don't know how your freind thinks an oil meant for breaking down deposits of carbon is going to be better at protecting seals in the long term.
