Along time have I quandered wether MMO has the force or not.

Well, After along time have I waited, The Force it has.

After picking an automatic transmission 86 RX-7 for 200 bucks that was stored in the back 40 for a year in the summer and winter here in nevada. I took it home only to catch a thieving neighbor had stolen parts out of the car (dash parts). I caught him dissasembling the whole nose of the car right in broad daylight. After refraining from breaking out a can of whoopass on him and getting him arrested. I sent him on his way denying him of any parts from this car and any self respect at all.

I took the car into the garage and started working on the car immediately. I went out in town and purchased a whole gallon of marvel mystery oil, and a turkey baster from the local grocery store. Using a 3 foot piece of fuel line I had laying around the garage, I did the cup or so treatment for each rotor face and waited. First week the rear rotor was pushing 115 psi. So that was a good sign. The front was only pushing 20.

The second week I pulled the exhaust manifold off and rotated the enging crank to get a look at the apex seals. They were in good shape on all 6 edges of both rotors, so I knew the apex seals were not broken.

On the fourth week I was literally going to give up and tow this car to the junk yard. So I went for broke,... I poured 6 full turkey baster amount into the front rotor until it was pouring out the exhaust port. well the car must have heard me talking about getting rid of it . As I desperately played with the compression gauge and cranked away on the motor hoping for something, I noticed the more I cranked on it the higher the compression got on the front rotor.

I am now sitting at 95 PSI on the front rotor on all three faces. I am sure once the motor gets started and gets revved up the PSI will incresed more as the seals are slung out due to centrifical force.

So it did work guys, and gals. It took a month for a completely dry stored car to revive the motor. Right now I am waiting on a good battery as I ran the other down to dead cranking the motor over testing the compression.

Marvel mystery oil does work, Your cars engine may not take as long as mine did, but I am testifying that it does in fact work well. Patients is all that is needed.

Another help full hint,... When you do this treatment, wether to a running motor, or a junk yard one,...remove the exhaust manifold, 4 screws, and 4 bolts and it's off. When you do this treatment the oil will drip down into a bucket you place under the car and not down your exhaust pipe. Hence a small amount of smoke, rather than a visit by the authorities and the fire department.

So, a jedi knight will you be.

May the MMO be with you.

Sounds like you had a stuck seal. Good job at being persistent and not giving up. You should be good to go.

So I have an 87 TII that has like 95 on the front and 70 on the rear. Do you think I could try the same thing to find good results? It has around 137,000 miles on it, and ran strong as hell even with both exhaust gaskets blown and a vacuum leak. I have been thinking about rebuilding it, but I don't really have the time and money right now to do it.
