is there a main ground somewhere in the car? The only one I have hooked up is to the body and one to the engine near the alternator

It's all relative, the main I guess would be where the negative battery terminal grounds. The one in the harness that goes to the alternator is the most important, there is also one on the back of the tranny.

I hope to have a grounding FAQ up VERY soon, with pics.

There's a post on the firewall near the wiper motor that you can use to ground various things.

Please post a faq, because i am very interested in this. Doing this yourself saves a lot of money. I'm not going to spend hundereds of dollars on wires when i can do it myself.
