i bought some FD rims and i barely got them to clear, the problem is is that i have a fingers gap between the shock and the tire and i wanted to lower the car an 1.5in in the rear and 1in in the front. so will lowering the car cause the shock to rub against the tire or will i be ok????

i have 20mm spacers/adapters in the front and and 25mm in the back to fit the FD wheels. and i also have the Tien springs wich lower it about 1.5 inchs i think.

yes the front tires do rub the front springs.

no rubbing int he rear.

Ahhh if your tire is rubbing you strut you have a tire that is too big.. lowering the car just brings the body closer to the tire, the placment of you strut to your tire will remain the same...

I have 245-45-17 up front and 275-40-17 out back. lowered about an inch, had to roll the crap out of my fenders in the front but the back clears just fine.

yeah, it's not the tire size, it's the offset of the FD wheels.
