Hi i was driving home tonight and came to a light i went to take off again and i had no power i can get the car going but i takes a long time. When i stop driving smoke comes out from the vents inside but no smoke is visable from the motor. My suspects are my clutch, catylitic converters, or a rotor. I am letting the car cool down now and will try it out again im going to check for back pressure out of the tail pipes. Oil level seems to be fine, same with clutch fluid. I can make the car hope whne changing gears which makes me think its not the clutch sticking....Could someone please help me with some thoughts ideas....

does it feel like the engine is out of power/wont rev? or not connected to the wheels? maybe the clutch died?

Looks like its one of the rotors the back one. how big of a job is it to change the seals myself?

apex seal replacement (engine rebuild ) is a big job. Check compression if it above 85psi or higher on all six rotor faces then you good.

bad Clutch maybe not.. clutch problem ussually show up over lets say two months - two weeks. Not overnight or while driving. ussually less and less power(engagment) or accleration

CAT maybe... run the car put it up on a lift and with a thermal lazer tem gauge check the temp from the exhaust manifold to tail pipe. the temp will go down slowly from the front to the rear anywhere from a difference of 50-300 total change. the cat should be super hot almost 700-1100 plus. So if you have 900 to exhaust man to cat and cat to tail pip 900-700. they you are in good shape (these are rough number. just make sure that the temp changes is somewhat constant no huge drop off). What you don't want is 900 exhaust to cat(with a 1200) cat then cat to tail pipe 900-400. these means clogged cat.

but that is just some stuff i need more info to really help.

does it start up ok?

vaccum pressure? should be 14-17 Hgmm and constant like a rock

any problems before?

any upgrades or maintaines that you did recently?

also smoke should not be coming into you car. Thats exhuast leak/whole somewhere

PM if you want
