Guys, you gotta help me out. I understand the FAQ, about the cranking time and stuff. But is there more to know? I gotta know. I go and look at it tomorow. The car is a Black 1988 GTU, qith grey cloth interrior, 89,600 miles, the guy is including the RX -7 cover, bra, special owners manual. (???) 5 - speed, and he wants 3400 but the lowest he'll go is 3,000? Is that price right for the current condition? He's states it has no rust and it's garaged kept. Is there more to know I should look out for on this car?

I'd appreciate it thanks

Drive the car. That sounds like a good price. If the motor has that many miles it should be fine.

But only as long as it was taken care of. Rotary's are a completly different animal. You better know what your getting into. It's almost like a hot blonde. Very high maintence. But it all pays off when you take care of them. Just make sure of all the obvious things. Starts? No Smoke? Engine Vibration.. or tranny noise. Once she's warmed up and you get a chance to drive it dont be afraid to buzz the engine a little. Rotary's love to be revved up to the limit. and once there make sure there's no smoke.

Sounds like a good deal to me, I checked the bank on my 88 SE, they said they would loan 3500.00 on it. If you can get a GTU for 3k, get it.

Sounds good to me too. Check it out. Have it compression tested. If everything looks good that is a fair price.
