I currently have a mitsubishi alternator(no clue as to how strong it is) that came on my 88 rx7 se when i bought it. I purchased the underdrive and alternator pulleys through rotary performance. I just want know if the pulleys will affect the charge of the alternator and if so what alternator could hold up to the task. On a side note, I don't care about emissions so what all could be removed of the air pump etc. in order to use two belts for the alternator and underdrive pulleys?

by the way i work at discount tire so if anyone should have questions concerning tires and/or wheels give me a shout

i really dont know why they dont make pullies like they do for nissans.

For say, a 240 you can get just an underdriven waterpump pully.

then you get the benifits of less cavitation at sustained high rpms, which is the whole point of changing pullies, without ******* up the rest of your belt driven accessories.

instead we underdrive everything and thats dumb.

you can put any combination of udnerdrive pullies you want on, just cause they make them all doesnt mean you need to put them all on.

Dude, I have the main and alt underdrive pulleys(rx7.com). I have ran them for three years now and for 8 months I had my FC as a daily driver. No voltage problems at all. Accessories and battery charge was always strong. You should be ok.

i was just saying, why put a crank pully on, and underdrive everything, instead of just changing the waterpump pully, so everything else is driven fine but you still get the benifits of underdriving the water pump.
