First thing I would check is the wastegate acctuator tubing, moving most acctuators by hand is not feasable as they have to hold back a 5 psi pressure. What it sounds like is that the wastegate is either stuck open or has been adjusted open, that is why the car is able to build minimal amounts of boost (the 0 psi reading on your gauge) The boost solenoid feeds the boost signal to the acctuator and opens the wastegate according to the amount of boost it is sensing. Check the connections there as well, both electrical and hoses. 5 psi is not going to pin you to the back of the seat, but you will notice the difference. If you can manage it, try looking at the acctuator rod as you rev the car. a quick rev to around 6000 rpm should cause the acctuator to move slightly, if it is not moving, you may have a bad boost control solenoid or a blown fuse. I am speaking in general because I am still learning the FC setup. But these steps should get you on the right track for determining your boost problem

you also wanna make sure the boost/pressure/map sensor is hooked up and working. its a little black box on the right front shock tower, with a vacuum hose and 3-4 wires. if you have an 87-88 it'll say n318 on it, if its an 89+ n370

I went ahead and checked out the boost sensor it was hooked up and all, but I tooke the extra time to clean off the contacts of all oxidation and also check the vaccuum hose for cracks, I am supprised they use such a flimsy hose for the boost sensor, it looks a little heat exhausted so I am gonna replace it w/ some silicon tubing.

Off topic!! TeamFc3s.org had a thread that about whos ever seen a good looking girl driving an Rx-7, for some reason those never exist hand in hand, but today I was driving in San Jose, on a routine rearview mirror check I noticed a Black FC Turbo behind me, took a double take and noticed it was a girl. I was like "Alright lets have a looksee!" So I put my turnsignal on, changed lanes and slowed down. My God! She was a looker! She looked at me and smiled, I smiled back and then she took off, Dammit I wish my turbo was working, Hell! she had an S5, probably couldn't keep up with her anyways So not to sound corny but hell, I saw my first rotary angel. I am done being stupid now!
