would a series 5 intake manifold work on a series 4 engine. because I have a series 4, and i'm trying to switch my intake manifold out with a j-spec manifold to get rid of all the smog stuff. the only j-spec manifolds I'm finding are series 5. are they interchangable?

Oh yeah are the turbo II intake manifolds different from the NA manifolds?

would I be better off just looking for a series 4 j-spec manifold?

n/a s4's and s5's have six ports though u cant swap the lower manifolds like frestyle pointed out.

the tII's have 4 ports so u might as well forget about putting it on an n/a......by the way, frestyle, if u REALLY wanted to, could u somehow be able to swap a TII manifold onto a 6 port??????

6 port manifolds also meet the upper manifold much lower than the turbo manifolds.

S5 6 port upper half also has VDI, the S4 doesn't.

Yes you can match a turbo 4 port lower manifold to a 6 port keg, and port match it as best at possible, but it's probably not the best solution. It can be done though.
