imasu: take the ftp's out and use something like aluminum polish or simichrome metal polish on them it will get rid of the sun bleached look aged look off of the ftps. I did this on my own and brought the ftp's back to life, once i find some webspace that allows me to remotely call image files I'll post up some before and after pics. I used simichrome myself
phinsup:
where you able to get a new catalog from accel that included the kool blue filters?? I checked JC Whitney and they are asking 300$ for the kool-flow kit with venturi, and around 44 dollars for universal dual cone filters. For the price of Kool-Flow, I think I am better off trying to make a home brew version, 300 dollars for a filter with a funnel type fitting and a hose that runs off the smaller ID cone of the filter is too much, I could probably make it cheaper and better quality.

I have the Apexi available for the S5 $149.99 plus shipping.
No clue honestly if it is better. I have used HKS and K&N I can tell you I have been happy with the K&N and the HKS got brittile from heat and fell apart.

The Power Intake is the premier air filter designed to create pure horsepower. The intake funnels used in racing machines take advantage of the characteristic where air travels along the side of surfaces. However, the center portion of the funnel is virtually unused. It is this concept that gave birth to the dual funnel design. A primary funnel on the top portion of the air cleaner was inserted to channel the air flow directly into the lower funnels at the base of the cleaner. By constructing the upper and lower funnel from a highly durable injected resin, Apexi was able to construct the ideal shaped funnel previously not possible. The funnel shapes are focused on increasing air speed without changing the flow direction of the intake air. The result is a high speed and smooth flow of air into the intake.
