sup!!!!!!!!!! is it normal for my car to smoke that much? 'cause the last time i looked at my muff. it has oil residue around it. what do you think it is? or is it just because of the cold? the color of the smoke is not blue though, but do you think i'm close to getting a new engine? i'm thinking of getting a '91 E whats the output on that?

does it smoke all the time? or just at startup? 91 n/a engine has 160hp stock. How much smoke is it? oil residue is a bad sign, how much oil does it consume?

if you're using 20w50 the smoke tends to be less blue... since you are measuring how much it is consuming you know it's oil.... make sure your metering isnt injecting too much before assuming it's the engine seals. but if it smokes on startup primarily it's likely engine oil seals requiring a rebuild or replacement.
