Idle Superhigh

hey i just fixed my dampner and my car ran fine for a few days but for some reason now my car will only idle at 5K ... ive tried adjusting the throttle cable and a few other things but its stuck at 5K or higher please help...

I had the same problem all I did was ajust the cable in the front and the back of the inter cooling and then I turned the bac valve all the way in. When I adjusted the throttle cable I loosened it up like almost all the way and now it idles around 1000-950.

i have a 87 gxl .. all stock... the screw on the throttle body is all the way in.. its the only thing i can find to adjust i made both the choke cable and throttle cable tight so there is no slack... what and where are the other things that i can adjust

Your throttle plates have to be stuck from closing. Thats the only thing I have seen that will make it idle that high. I suggest taking off the black plastic intake tube right before your throttle body. Once thats off get a flashlight and see if the throttle plates are closing.
