today i was racing a friend on the street and i am slamming through the gears then suddenly in 3rd around 4-5,000rpm the cars rpms don't want to go higher and i get a bumping feel in the pedals and a light knocking in the motor. the car starts fine during normal driving and boosts fine when i need the power so its either the tranny or this famous rear rotary fuel cut-off i've heard so much about. the car is a 1991 turbo with HKS filter and the exhaust is a 2 1/2 in RB down pipe, car sound cat with 2 1/4 piping that leads to a tanabe muffler. i know how to correct fuel cut off i just want to know if thats what i am experiencing. thanks

well i dont thinks it running lean because wont the 255lph fuel pump be enought to supple fuel to the motor and when it happened the damn car wouldn't go any faster.
