I Need An Electric Fan

[quote name='ZenRXSeven' date='Apr 18 2005, 03:45 PM']The Taurus fan works great and fits pretty damn well too. I picked one up for $10, but I also had to get a 3rd gen alt to run it, so it's not really cost effective. Blows a hell of a lot of air though.

The Taurus fans are really good fans... There 2800 CFM's

hey ive got a stock radiator but im using the cooling fan out of a pt cruiser, it mounts great with slight mod(you'll see if you get one), and its wired straight in so when the car turns on it does too, but the car still worms up quickly and stays where it should, but make sure you get the shroud with the e-fan, i also just drilled small holes in the shroud and hooked it up to the radiator through the
radiator fins

You should always wire your fan through a relay. You could have "run-on" or other problems if you don't.
The fan is still spinning when you shut off the car and if it is wired direct it will act like a generater (while it is still turning) and will back feed the electrical system. Needles to say this can cause problems.

i believe i read somewhere the taurus fan draws 40 amps, and considering a s4 alt is only 70, and a s5 is 80, it's taking up atleast 50% of your total output, so if your in stop and go traffic witht eh lights on, and the heater going it ain't going to be pretty.
