i heard the stock clutch fan is really good (and thats not being sarcastic).

I think you heard wrong, parasitic drag is not something that you want.

You can modify a e-fan from a Pontianc Fierro, or a newer model Ford T-Bird to do the trick, but if you want to do it right order a NEW fan from a parts store. I saw a kit at the local store with fan thermo switch and e-z install kit for for 129.99.

stock fan is one of the best set ups you can get

keep in mind the draw of a electric fan can push 40 amps and spike at 80 amps, stock S4 alternator cannot properly push one of those fans to thier potential

plus you dont want to lose the shroud.

Flex a Lite blackmagic fan, it has its own shroud, pushes (or pull) over 2300cfm, AND I have been using it for OVER 7 years without a major problem (except for the thermoswitch, so the fan was on at all times).

i'm playing with a haltech car, stock radiator, stock fan, shroud everything, temps vary between 190f and about 195f. stock setup works great

The Taurus fan works great and fits pretty damn well too. I picked one up for $10, but I also had to get a 3rd gen alt to run it, so it's not really cost effective. Blows a hell of a lot of air though.
