I don't recall having any trouble with mine. My memory isn't great, but I think you undo two large phillips head screws which hold the disc to the hub, then insert them into the OTHER two holes and tighten them EVENLY until the parts separate.

yeah, haynes says put those phillips screws into the other two holes and screw 'em in. that will push the rotor off, assuming your screws aren't stripped or stuck like mine.

And don't try to turn those screws with a little ol' #2 Phillips. Make sure you've got a nice big one, or you'll be pissing in the wind.

You are correct, sir! Phillips screws there are, but no holes. I am currently working on replacing the front wheel bearings on my car. I will not attempt to remove the hub from the disc, based on your experience. Sorry you've had such a time with it.

btw on closer examination...t here is a threaded hole on the back of the hub...except if u have abs the ABS sensor wheel will block this hole. You have to take off the ABS sensor wheel via 3 allen key...

btw i never attempted taking the allen screws off i just went to a machine shop with 20 ton hydraulic press... it even gave the press difficulty... wow.
