How do i get the rotors off short of a hydraulic puller or press? i have a 20 lbs sledge hammer and the rotors aren't even budging a bit

I don't recall having any trouble with mine. My memory isn't great, but I think you undo two large phillips head screws which hold the disc to the hub, then insert them into the OTHER two holes and tighten them EVENLY until the parts separate.

and soak the **** in PB BLASTER, not WD40! PB Blaster!

yeah, haynes says put those phillips screws into the other two holes and screw 'em in. that will push the rotor off, assuming your screws aren't stripped or stuck like mine.

btw on closer examination...t here is a threaded hole on the back of the hub...except if u have abs the ABS sensor wheel will block this hole. You have to take off the ABS sensor wheel via 3 allen key...
btw i never attempted taking the allen screws off i just went to a machine shop with 20 ton hydraulic press... it even gave the press difficulty... wow. |
