how to read codes on 90 vert

afternoon....
Im trying to cvhase down a couple of issues on my 90 vert and want to check for error codes(since one issue is the flickering check engine light) anyone no where i can find details on how to read them from my car...ie. where to ground ,where to read,and what is it im reading!? thanks in advance.....

There are two green connectors near battery
The single wire green connector needs to be grounded, usually to the negative battery terminal with an extention wire and clip
Once connected turn key to on position and watch check engine light in car
Count the blinks
Short blinks are one, longer blinks are 10
the code(s) will repeat so watch is a couple of times
then contact me with your results so we can see what code(s) you may getting
To clear codes, disconnect negative battery terminal, turn key to on position and press on brake pedal for up to one minute.
