How To Install Transmission Mounts
#1
My terms: crossmember, Y-mount (that bolts to the tranny), and the mounts have what I'll call a top and bottom stud. "top" refers to the top of the car.
I've had the stuff apart for awhile, so first I want to make sure I'm puting it together correctly. Does the gold-colored washer/space go on the top stud, on top of the Y-mount? Also, I'm just having a hard time getting it all together. I bolted the Y-mount to the tranny first. Then I bolted the drivers side mount to the crossmember, since the access to that lower stud is very limited once the crossmember is up. I raised the crossmember into place, and wiggled the other mount into place. I just can't get the gold washers/spacers onto the top studs of the new mounts.
I also thought I'd be able to bolt the crossmember to the car, then tighten down the center nut to the Y-mount, but I'm having trouble getting those all lined up. I'm guessing I can solve that by messing with the jack, after I get the top studs bolted to the Y-mount.

Yeah, I ended up prying the center tube of the crossmember in one direction and pulling down (bending at the midpoint) the passenger side mount, and some how got it to slide up there.
