Ok so my car is ideling at 1500 RPM all the time it will climb up to 3000RPM at cold startup like normal and after warm it will stay at 1500 RPM. If i put the car in gear at idel it will start to stutter and the RPM's will fluctuate. On my air/fuel gauge I can see that every time it stutters the gauge goes into lean then off the gauge and will come back up when the RPM's raise again. if i take the car out of gear it will go back to 1500 RPm and the air/fuel gauge reads stoich. vacume at 1500 RPM is like at 18inhg sometimes over 20inhg

i asum this is an auto? probly a 6 port. more then likely if this is the case check the lower intake manifold gaske on rotor 2 or 1 for that matter . more then likely it got sucked in and it may not be detected with carb/brake clean do the the location of the place where the gasket is broken.

no it is a 5 speed when ever the transmission is in gear the rpms will start to fluctuate. as soon as i put it in neutral it will go back to 1500 rpm. i doubt it is the gasket since about 15K ago I put new intake manifold gaskets with a thin layer of silicone gasket dressing. but hey it could be too who knows would the water temp sensor cause this?

So when you press the clutch, put it in gear the idle changes?

I heard somewhere(I think in the fc3s mailing list) that there is a clutch switch that could cause this problem. Maybe someone could elaborate on that a little bit; because I'm forgetful.

Also, is the fuel system getting proper ventilation?

Is your AFM in good shape?

AFM is good. Now the idel changes when the transmission is but in gear let me describe what i mean. Car is at normal temp in netural clucth up it is at 1500 rpm Clucth in 1500 rpm now when i put the transmission in gear the rpms will start to fluctuate between 1000 and 1400 rpm. i notice that when it fluctuates down the air/fuel meter i have goes off like if fuel was cut then as the idel comes up it goes back to stoich now it will do that as long as i have the tranny in gear. as soon as i pull it out of gear it will stay at 1500 RPM. If i rev the engine it will drop back down to 1500 rpm quickly dosent linger around then drop.

You try the BACV screw? There should also be a screw on the throttle cable side of the TB that you can use to adjust the idle.

you guys suck ! ! ! LOL J/K It was my thermo wax **** that was fucked. I took it off idel dropped down to 1000 rpm Perfect i guess it was stuck already of old age. Then I adjusted the TPS and it stayed at 1000 rpm so i said I have a vacume leak. got a can of starting fluid sprayed vacume nipples and the injectors and guess what it is pulling air through the secondary rear rotor injector. I have already ordered new difuser and ruber gromet.
