help my 88 rx7 does not smoke

my rx7 88 n/a does NOT smoke wen it is turned on even wen its cold im wondering if anyone knows how to check if the engine is being lubricated? idk if it matter i have a hks intake aftermarket headers and a straight pipe. Please help it my first rx7

That's perfectly normal, they're not SUPPOSED to smoke.



But there is a way to check to see if your OMP is working. It involves disconnected the (most likely brittle) OMP lines, and measuring the flow.

You should be pre-mixing anyway. Search "pre mix" on this board for the correct ratios.



Even then, you wont see much smoke, if any.

I removed OMP, premixed 1 oz./gallon, and had leaking oil rings, and I only saw smoke when shifting at redline.

AWESOME! This is the first post i've seen where someone needs help because their rx7 ISN'T broken.





I agree with Baldy, i removed OMP and premix the hell out of mine and it only spits out a very small amount at 8k shifts.

oh ok thanks for the help do i have to remove the omp to premix it or can i do it with the omp on?

Dont need to remove the omp, just mix a little less tcw3
