cool thank for the help i'm thinking of doing the ford one w/two speeds and using the second speed for car off time.

sorry bout that. thanks for the help i will try that my next day off. can you clean the TPS or is it replace only??

I think it need a good beating to clean out the carbon

remember to try a compression test... i have an 87 T2 that ran but not well, and wouldn't idle well either. Check the compression, and if its bad try the ATF trick, maybe it will save urs, sadly i'm rebuilding mine right now.
