I gave it a tune-up and cleaned the BAC but that didnt help.. https://www.nopistons.com/forums/pub...1047683358.gif Has good Comp https://www.nopistons.com/forums/pub...IR#>/boink.gif Can anyone help me???? The turbo runs good, but there is a small exhaust leak after the turbo. Any ideas about cause?????

Could be as simple as an exhaust gasket on the leak, you'll have to take a closer look. You need to take a look at the TPS, I believe there is a topic about it in the FAQ's. You need to either clean it, adjust it or replace it if that is what is causing your idle issues.

You getting any error codes?

Dont know how to look... is it in the FAQ??

Thank for all the help. Any other suggestions would gladly be accepted... Anything else i should look for to help make my car more fun... What temp sould the thermostat be (ie 160 or 190) currently has 160 and temp gauge goes from1/2 to 2/3 up....

phinsup 07-11-2003 12:17 AM

depends on your climate, but the 160 is nice for the summer.

I live in Boise, ID where today the High was 104F HOT HOT HOT nd the low was about 80 f. should i go lower if poss? It is only a summer car.

phinsup 07-11-2003 12:33 AM

no 160 should be fine, I doubt there is one lower.

is there a way to get the e-fan from the ac to run after the car has been shut off so as not to heat soak the engine??? I also read the one for the ford tur efan does this relace the clutched fan and does the shroud still fit?? or does it make a differance??

You could always get a separate electric, put it on a timer or an elec thermostat.
