did that keep doing that but has not helped...

remember to try a compression test... i have an 87 T2 that ran but not well, and wouldn't idle well either. Check the compression, and if its bad try the ATF trick, maybe it will save urs, sadly i'm rebuilding mine right now.

Can you clean the TPS?
