why would you want to disconnect the OMP?

Why would you want an electric fan?

it might not be the OMP thats leaving oil. Is the oil on the driver`s or PASS side of the engine?

Best way to do an electric fan mod is to make aluminum mounts to the metal radiator housing.

Find the smallest fans and try to fit two. They are faster and create more air but cover less area. So go dual.

Summit has a good selection of fans.

K2rd sells block off plates for the OMP but only list for 13B engines. You could probably make one without too much trouble.

I use twin 10" fans from Summit. I think they push around 900 cfm apiece. Never had a problem with heat.

I saw a set-up once with Four 8 inch fans. Doesnt matter how big or small but remember the power from the fan comes mostly from about 2/3 of the way to the center(about two or three inces from center on most fans), so you want to think about that when measuring. If the centers of your fans are say 2 or three inches from the edge, or closer even, then the radiator isnt getting the maximum amount of air that the fans are capable of providing......And......If you put the centers tooo close to the edge of the radiator you could very well be using them to blow the cooler air to the sides and pulling the hot air from the engine to the radiator.
