mine is more then $3500, I didnt mean to buy mine, its kind of

only for sale for the right price, I dont or want to sell it but its

a shame that I dont really get to drive the car that much

I just was asking in case you had someone local to NY because

there are always RX-7s for sale around here.
Rob, does this mean you will not have any 7's then? I've been seriously considering selling mine too. I think I may get a 1st gen project car then. My dilemma is my FC is in great condition with 77k but to get it back to "stock" specs would be a lot of time and money. I either sold or threw most of the stock parts out over the years. Only the right buyer would want one with mods and not stock.
I think I would find a TII to restore, thinking of a FD but I hate to

have to pay something else off.

The guy emailed me back and said he is definately willing to take less and I'll show the email here..Heres what he said when I told him the rust was a problem for me.

"Don't know how much it would cost to fix the rust. If you aren't worried about the paint color, I would be willing to repair the steel, and paint it in primer. This could be done without too much work. If it were me, I wouldn't bother touching these spots up with color, until I could re-paint the entire car. (I have access to a professional body shop, so this wouldn't be a half hearted effort).

Also, the price is negotiable. I just want to make sure someone is really interested before I start dropping the price. I would prefer someone come look at the car, before we start dickering over money. But just so you know, I am willing to go below $3200."

When he says he would be weeling to repair the steel does he mean the steel strip along the window or all of the rust? And doesn't it seem like if he has access to all that stuff he would have done it already? Hmmm..?

That car is not worth anywhere near $3200. Find yourself a nice S5 (89-91) N/A, you'll be much happier in the long run.

Find another car, that one doesn't look anywhere near worth the effort that you'd end up putting into to getting it and fixing it. Look at e-bay to see what cars you could get with that same amount of cash, just as a comparison.

I looked on Ebay and there is one RX-7 within 75 miles and it's sold now and I didn't really trust the person because they said it had 100,000 miles and they had a picture of the odometer and it clearly said 119,900 miles. If he would fix the rust and sell it for $2300 I would be interested...But does anyone know what he means by "I would be willing to repair the steel, and paint it in primer"..does he mean the little strip under the window or all of the rust?

he means he is going to probably bondo up the rust and spray some primer on it, primer isnt paint, its whats used before you paint.

in other words you would have grey or white or some other

color primer where the rust is.

so the car will be red, and whatever color primer he gives you.

Yeah, I was pretty much planning on getting it painted after I bought it, but like I said I would have to get one for around $2000 to have enough left over money to get a nice paint job and everything.

I found another one I like and I wanna get you guys opinions before I go look at it.

First..what it says about the car.

"This is a low mileage vehicle, with only 26,000 miles on the engine, 102,000 overall. Has been very well maintained, and driven wisely. It has a four cylinder, rotary engine with a 5 speed transmission. It is a targa-top convertible model, limited edition. It has a custom stereo, with a Pioneer CD player, and 12" Pioneer subwoofer, encased in a custom, fiberglass box. It also has 17" aluminium alloy racing wheels, and low profile tires. Interior has been very well maintained, clean and with rubber floor mats."

Notice "4 cylinder rotary engine It also had the top replaced 3 years ago, new exhaust a few years ago, and brand new rear tires.

He's asking $3995 but he will take less! Now for the pics.
