I don't even know if I should ask for him to take less, because I don't really have the extra money to take it to a body shop and get it fixed plus I'd probably end up getting it painted. I'm unemployed right now and the maximum I can spend is $3500 and I doubt I can talk him down enough to be able to get the car and get the rust fixed for under $3500. If you guys see anything in my area just post it back here in this thread.

You should find a different car. I've seen nice S5 GTUs for less than that.

That does seem alot for a 7. Especially since I got mine for $250. I had an 87 and all I did was switch the fuel pump into the 88 and Bam!

Right now I'm modifying it but right now I got an intake and took off the Air conditioning and compressor off.

I'll just pass on this one since I'm out of a job right now anyway. I'm not sure really how many for sale there are in my area but I know there were 4 on autotrader.com and 3 of them were sold (this is the last one..my last option lol), I've only been into RX-7s and rotaries for a little over a month so I don't really know of any good sites to look for them on so fill me in if you know of any.

Just try to keep a lookout for me if you see any around my area.

RX-7s are pretty easy to come by in the northeast, do you have

any friends or relatives in NY ?

No, I don't..I'm guessing thats where your car is for sale at? I've seen some people telling someone to buy your RX-7 when they asked about one.

I'm looking at RX-7s and this is the only one available that I can find anywhere near me. It's a 1988 N/A, he had the engine rebuilt by East Coast Rotary last November and has put 5000 miles on it since, the miles on the rest of the car is 159k. He replaced the main catalytic converter this spring, the previous owner put new exhaust on it a few years ago, he replaced the engine mounts and transmission mounts when the engine was rebuilt and just put a new battery in it. He just put a new cd player in it and he wants $3200 for it. The problem is it has some rust. It has rust underneath the drivers side window, some on the bottom of the drivers door, some on the left rear wheel well and some on the right rear wheel well and their is a tear in the drivers side carpet (no problem..covered by a mat easy). I have some pictures but I have nowhere to host them so I can't show them. If anyone is serious about helping me decide I can show you the picture through AOL instant messenger, SN oxhadokenxo
My 2 cents worth...

Run the VIN number before you buy it! I found out some NICE stuff after the fact.

My seven has had the odometer rolled back 26K miles!

There is a ******* tax lien on the car!

It may be the best 2 bux you ever spent

This is the 7 I was gonna buy but the guy wouldn't return my calls for over a week and then when I finally got a hold of him he sold it the day before. It's got Racing Beat Exhaust and tons of other mods a Mazdatrix airdam etc etc $2950...It had three sets of wheels and tires too.

Rob, does this mean you will not have any 7's then? I've been seriously considering selling mine too. I think I may get a 1st gen project car then. My dilemma is my FC is in great condition with 77k but to get it back to "stock" specs would be a lot of time and money. I either sold or threw most of the stock parts out over the years. Only the right buyer would want one with mods and not stock.
