Yah, Im in Tucson. Been here since December https://www.nopistons.com/forums/pub...IR#>/smile.png I havent figured out which refridgerant to use. I know they are damned pricey. What did you end doing?

I did some research and used 134a initially, but when it didn't seem to get cold enough I did more research and came to the conclusion that the spendy R-1 is a better product to ensure longevity in the AC components
Yah, its gets SUPER hot here. No way I can drive without A/C. Im actually going to do it right, use Aeroquip stainless steel hose and a/c fittings. Should look really really nice.

I built this monstrosity of an adapter to use the ac aeroquip
sit in traffic in a black leather seat with the top down in 90 degree heat and 90% humidity and tell me you dont need AC!
Amen! A/c is a must!

You wusses. https://www.nopistons.com/forums/pub...IR#>/smile.png

I don't own a vert - I don't care too much for them.

I do own a coupe.

I've been through 110F+ Sacramento summers.

I've been through 120F+ Las Vegas summers.

I've been through 90F+ and 90%+ Hawaii summers.

I don't see what the big deal is. https://www.nopistons.com/forums/pub...IR#>/smile.png

I grew up without AC, so I guess I don't find it a necessity...

One of those creature comforts I guess, im just not fond of baking my brains out in the blistering heat. Even the mids 80's is fine in the vert, what bothers me are the 90+ days at 100% humidity... hot, wet air sucks! The car runs like **** as it is, there's no reason to sit there and be completely miserable too.

Its already hit 115*F here, it sucks, and i work in it all day, plus have to drive home in my 120*F Black leather interior, without AC. My life is misserable.

Compressor looks nice! Did you have the sanden or the nippondenso a/c in your car?

I had the Sanden originally but it blew up, all I found to replace it was the Nippon-Denso, hence the overkill adapting bracket, lol
