we import from Japan all the time, I talk first hand

im not quite sure what it is you were looking for if you already know of where to get a clip for less then $2500??

if they cant ship a engine without breaking a bracket or bending a TMIC then there is no way they are shipping a clip without damaging body panels, every clip that comes in has damaged body panels so why pay extra for them?

The body panels don't mean anything to me--it was never a concern. Competitive pricing and customer service is, however.

That was all I was looking for.

Here....

The only reason I was looking overseas in the first place was toying with the idea of RHD. The company I was dealing with called me from the airport in Japan, letting me know he found and bought a clip for sale. They then emailed me a video of the car, running, but not driving. Purchasing a half-cut, with driveline, less hood and fenders, is a hell of a deal for under $2500, not even speaking about the impeccable customer service. I only mentioned the body panels to simplify the idea of getting half of a car, versus an engine set without an ecu, harness, and all the other stuff that would make my life easier.

I guess I'll stick with my original plan and let you know how it all goes.

There is a guy up in your neck of the woods that has two for sale. You may want to search back about a month or two. I saw it in January. After you read his post it you heard the crickets cause nobody responded.
