Hey, i need some help, I bought these glow gauges for my 87 mazda rx7 na.

I have everything done except for the power wire, it says to connect to wire for the running lights. Which wire is the running lights? This haynes manual is very poor for its wiring diagram.

Thanks

this is the best advice, just ground your test light and start probing

wires to see which ones are switched with the lights, try tracing a wire

that runs to a light, or if you get REALLY confused and cant figure it out, you tap into the light for the ashtray or cig. lighter

i put a lead of the lights for the radio to use on some things in my car(not guages or neons). I'll go look and tell you what color the wire is tommorow if you need to know But youll have to pull the radio out to do it this way but it works with the light switch.

If i have time I will tell you tommorow and look at my car. I hooked up mine to the dimmer wire so they turn up and down with the dimmer.

That would be great, the reason is confused is because it says to attach wire to dimmer switch but not "dimmer" switch. Ya i know what the hell does that mean, anyway other sites tell me to conect to running lights, does the dimmer carry enough power, how are yours looking?

Thanks for the help

I just hooked mine up to a 12v switched source (from my radio). It is not like the it takes alot of amperage to run the little light whenever the car is running.

Splice into the light on your cigarette lighter. It will go on and off with your dash lights.
