I was considering getting a 2 gauge pod, painting it to match my interior, and mounting a oil pressure and a water temp gauge on my pillar. My question is can you still use the factory gauge? I dont want to have the original gauge sitting there limp. I was thinking of going with the Blitz gauges, they look hot.

You can get the Racing Beat adapter block. It will mount under the oil filter assembly.

No. For the water temperature the best spot would be in the back of the water pump, but you'd have to remove it and tap a hole. Otherwise you could tap a hole in the filler neck.

Otherwise I would just have a aftermarket water gauge? Electical right, not mechanical? Now Im wondering if the whole project is worth it, or if I do, should I just let the factory gauges sit limp.

If I were you I would let the factory gauges work as well. An electrical gauge would be easier to install, but the mechanical gauges can sometimes be a little more reliable. The oil pressure adapter is about $48. The water temperature gauge will be easy to do. If you don't know how to do it then bring it to me.

I could tap the filler neck easy enough. Do you think R1 gauges are too ricey???
