Ok.. that's kinda confusing.. But anyway.. new problem. My pump won't work now.. I have the relay and everything connected, the power and the ground to the harness from the tank to the main wiring harness but I read earlier that RX-7's don't pressurize the line and they said that it only starts after you turn the key over. Well I've tried and tried again and well... it just doesn't work. Someone help me please. Thanks.

ecu needs to see an rpm signal to trigger the pump

Yeah there's power. It's getting about 8 volts from a hot wire and a ground wire. Now it was my belief that in order to start the fuel pump you need 12 volts and after it starts it only needs 9 volts to continue running. Which is the purpose of the Fuel Pump Resistor Relay. But I'm really not sure.

they run the fuel pump @9ish volts in vacuum and then under load they run the pump at the full 12v

Ah. Well my problem is that my fuel pump won't turn on. Even when connected to a power and a ground. The relay is brand new. So how am I supposed to give the ECU an RPM signal to trigger the pump when my pump won't put gas into the engine in the first place?

im not familiar with the connections to the fuel pump, but if there is adequate power there and it doesnt work then the pump is probably bad.

It's not the fuel pump. It's brand new. Also I just connected my pump to a hot wire from the battery and it turns right on. For now I'm about to wire it back to the switch just so that I can get home. Also my car goes into the shop Monday at 8 AM. I'm just gonna tell them to deal with that. Because I don't feel like it. But thanks for all the help.
