I had them on my 1979 rx7 with header way back in the day ( 1991) and they worked fine for years in fact the muffler is still around on another car. Why would'nt they last there is no packing in them.
them I would just take thier advice. they are baffled mufflers, so I guess there is potential for problems there. Maybe they are worried that from the high heat there is the potential for one of the baffles to break free blocking the muffler's output. Email flowmaster and maybe they can give the full story? |
there were flowmasters on a NA I picked up in north carolina, it sounded like ass but they werent falling apart.
it had stock manifold and a cat then two flowmasters, sounded like a weed wacker. I suspect if it had no cat and a better exhaust system overall the flowmasters would have been getting alot more abuse, but the system was really ghetto. The Y section was more like a T. |

my cousin has a 1 into 2 flowmaster on his 7 and it sounds like an indy car. at first its cool but gets annoying
