I finally got my LSD put together...I thought the rear end I got had the 4.3, but it actually did have the 4.1 and the 4.3 came with it...just wasn't installed, so I put it all together, and its going on the car sometime this week I hope! I should be able to drive the car for the first time in 4 months next week!!!

A guy was selling me a 4.3 posi rear that would fit my 85, but im concerned about highway driving. Wouldnt that put a bigger starin on the engine at cruising speeds?? That and the fact that he kept saying posi, he wasnt sure if it was lsd or not(most puertoricans refer to lsd and posi rears as posi, period). And if its posi, that would suck for city driving.

I guess what im trying to say is. let us know if there are any noticeable changes good and bad.

I'm pretty sure that the 4.3 will be bad for city driving. The GTUs had it stock. It just helps the car accelerate better. It gets your 60' times and 0-60 times a little better, but takes away a little of you overall top speed which won't matter yet becuase my GT-X won't see 145MPH+ in the 1/4 mile for a while...I don't think...

you won't notice any difference besides a little faster acceleration and the rpms getting a little higher at the same speed

I've got a 5.12:1 rear in my Project Zuki.

I have calculated my RPM's vs a Stock RX7's 3.9:1

1st gear 34.5 MPH 25.9 MPH

2nd gear 59.9 MPH 45.0 MPH

3rd gear 87.7 MPH 65.9 MPH

4th gear 119.8 MPH 90.1 MPH

5th gear 171.9 MPH 129.2 MPH

Stock RPM @ 60 MPH is 2268 RPM

Mine will be 3018 RPM (a little high)

This is based on 195-60-15 tires

But hey, if I can redline at the end of the 1/4 mile... :tounge:
