I have a hose that I can't figure out where it goes. I can't even find it in the Mazda repair manual or the Haynes version.

Anyway here is a picture for reference (to see where on the motor this is) and then a close up of the hose in question. The hose hangs off the back lower intake manifold and extends toward the passenger wheel then with a rubber hose on it.

And the close up:

That looks like the hose that goes to the brake booster.

That's kinda what I thought... But if that is true, What is the hose that is right behind it? (At that same exact corner of the motor (actually on the block) there is a hose (looks like a heater hose) but I thought the heater hoses are (near the oil filter and at the lower radiator hose).

The other hose I am talking about is a little bigger and points towards the firewall. (Damn I wish I had a spare RX-7)... Or took PICTURES BEFORE...

Thanks

Is it coming out of the top of the rear housing? If so then it's a coolant hose for the TB coolant flow.

Okay looking through the manual I found a couple of pics that show what the heck I'm talking about.... (I'm surprised I still know).

Anyway here are some pics. The throttle body one I plugged. It is much smaller. (Maybe 1/2") this one is 1-1/4" or so.

I colored it YELLOW.

Hey, where did you get nice fuel lines? Are they customs?

The extra nipple can be either for the coolant or for the emmission (connects to the air split pipe to the cat)

Yeah, that one is for the split air pipe, IF you have a catalytic converter.

So I should just cap it. Is that a rubber hose?

I guess I'll leave it unconnected and see what comes out of it. But the other one is the brake vacumm?

Thanks for all your help.

My fuel hose is from Summit Racing. I think it was 5/8" Stainless (about $30 for 10 feet) and $8 or so for 2 ends.

I just need to double check my wiring and it should be ready to startup. (I'm running a Haltech, I've got it running my shift light, NOS and electronic 6 ports)

Yeah, just cap it. The one you asked about in the first thread looks like the brake booster line.

THANKS!!!

Ya I did put a BONZ Pipe on my 7 and don't remember that hose. It really looks like a coolant line. But I must not need it. I'm going to fill my cooling system this weekend so I will see what comes out.
