just got my first car, 89 rx-7. its a gen 2 with a 13B in it. the engine only has 30 grand on it, buti think it was driven hard. today the engine started a little slow, but even after i let it warm up, still had a clinking noise that seemed to be comin from the engine. might be heat shield on catalytic convertor,not sure yet. I had the car at about 1500 RPM's, which is about idle, and it died. Just died. for no reason. then it wouldnt start. took forever to start, then it sounded like **** on the way home. the engine rattled n shook n just sounded like it was gonna blow right before 3rd gear (its automatic). i didnt go over 30 for the rest of the way home, but at every stop sign it died on me. Took it home checked everything out, n according to manual it looked okay. but now it takes forever to warm up, and it will start and then suddenly stop, almost like its getting turned off. im new to rotaries n no tune shops around my area wanna work on a rotary.
