Ok I got the motor out of my 88 SE Automatic to put it in my 86 Sport FC. I took off the auto. flexplate and the counter weight and put on the MT flywheel, this should be it right? I am in the process of putting all the wires back and the Intake manifolds.

Things I replaced... . . . .

Belts

Radiator Hoses

Engine mounts

K2rd Block off's

thermostat

cleaned up the bac a bit

got a screw driver with some atf on a rag and passed it on the apex seals from the exhaust port

new spark plugs(putting in after the atf trick)

wires,

cleaned the contacts on the coils,

added the ground strap,

going to put more atf in the sparkplug holes as to get rid of some carbon.

cleaned out my oil cooler with disel fuel.

cleaned my radiator of tinns rocks and dust and leaves and ****,

polished up the UIM and the Chamber thing a bit,

working on the tb mod

hoging out my spare TB

making new intake

and putting in the system.

Let me know if there is anything I am missing. Especially about using the AT motor with a Manual tranny?

Thanks

Sounds good. Since you are using an 88 auto engine with an 86 manual tranny the flywheel will work just fine because the weights are the same. KEEP THAT AUTO C-WEIGHT! You can use it in the future with a light flywheel or sell it
