Will a Series 6 13Bt engine fit into a Series 5 FC3S body without any engine mods, i.e front cover, sump, motor mount etc. If not what mods must be done. Will use an electric water pump in this conversion. 5 speed manual trans

I BELIEVE NOT, THE S6 HAS DIFFERENT MOTOR MOUNTS, AND TRANS MOUNTS.

people have been making adaptors. mazda moved the engine mounts between the FC and FD's. so you can either make an adaptor plate, or you can add to the subframe to make a place for the motor to mount. or you can swap the FC oil pan and mounts on to the FD engine, which requires drilling the engine

ive seen all 3, adaptor seems best/simplest.

I sell the conversion mounts, click on my sig to see/order them. Ive documented this swap before on this forum, as have at least one other person. Look in the engine swap forum.
