Engine Sounds Funny?

ok I'm not sure how a rotary sound like? it sounds like a ticking sound but im not sure if something is wrong or is it because of the street porting and 3mm seals. It runs fine. please help me because if something is wrong with the engine i will die

Post more information. What car, what engine? Is it turbo? Give us some more information and you may get some answers.



If it is N/A, the 5th and 6th port actuators will make a clicking noise but you can only hear it with the hood open.



Can you hear the clicking all the time? From inside the car? Only from outside the car? Only with the hood open?

Yes, 6 ports' actuator arms will click, I couldn't figure out what it was at first.

well yes its an 88 turbo but the ticking is at low rpms when i rev it up it sounds nice. The guy i bought it from didnt tell me much sorry

May be an exhaust leak. have you checked the exhaust?

Fuel injectors make a clicking sound. Or is it really loud?

check the two gaskets around the turbo. Mine did that and I found out the gasket from the turbo to manifold was blown.
