well, i was considering changing the doors from my GXL and putting them into my T2 cause the windows dont work. the switches on both doors work fine- basing my opinion from external analysis, havent checked anything with like ohmeter or anything- but the windows just dont go up or down. the power mirrors work and the sunroof motor works. i cannot find the kick panel fuse cover in my car. if you guys have any idea what this might be caused by, let me know. im hoping its a fuse but, who knows. gimme some ideas..

ok, you need to pull the drivers side door panel, and take out the power window switch. carefully take the switch apart to see all the contacts inside, they'll probably be black from oxidation. Just take a screw driver and scrap them until they are shiny new, and your windows will probably work again.

Happened to me and that's what fixed it.

fyi, the all power for windows run though that switch (even if the passenger side switch is fine, it still won't work because it never sees the signal in the first place due to the corroded drivers side switch)

Hope that helps.

also the fuses are to the back left of the clutch, if it'll have a fuse box looking cover on it. Use the diagraph on the lid to find your fuse, i think it's a 15 or 20 for the power windows.

Speaking of this topic, my windows go up and down, but when they do, they do it kinda rough, when they hit the bottom they hit the bottom hard like a big clunk, do you think my windows are falling off the track or what?
