I guess it could, but will have to be configured from the factory like some of those other systems to run your required setup.



What I like about the Haltech systems (which I own) is the instant adaptability of the system. I have used my Haltech to first run my turboed RX7, then I used the same unit on a modded SR20DET Nissan 240SX, now I am installing the same unit on my new RX7 turbo. This was all done without having to send it back to the manufacturer for re-programming.



Try that with a DTA, Microtech etc.

Wolf 3d V4 is great, especially with the hand controller.



There are built in options for a boost controller, turbo timer, and plenty of other things.



If very simple, brand new, and can be had for under $1500.



I got a v4, boost controller, 3 bar map sensor, turbo timer and it was $1400 (with installation accesories and other things for the options i ordered as well)



Not to mention the biggest seller here in USA, Wolf USA, is Chris Greene. If you buy it from him, and have say an Innovate LM-1 wideband you cans end your base map and your wideband datalog and he will digitally tune it for you...he says they're almost perfect and the people whove tried it agree.

I just found out the v4 and v4+ ditched support for the FC trailing toggle.

This forces you to go discrete ignitors, which adds to cost and complexity to the system.

what do you mean? they have multiple ignition setups you can use.



Mazdadrifter uses one ignitor from a VW to power his 4 coils. I'll be using 4 msd's to control 4 msd coils, you can also use 3 ignitors to control the 4 coils.



What other option layout would you want? Im not familiar with the trailing toggle, or what it is so maybe im talking about something way off track.

I don't have direct experience with the Wolf3D systems, but another used has confirmed that the v4 and v4+, which are the most advanced and current version, to be unable to fire the stock FC3S trailing toggle ignition system / pack.





Why do you NEED something extra, when you can just use the stock FC3S ignitors?





You really should do your homework before diving into discussions like this.

It really makes you look pretty bad when you do this.



The FC3S uses a toggle system to fire the trailing coils.

There are two signals that the ignitor in the base of the trailing coils uses as inputs.

One signal is the actually firing signal that triggers the spark.

The other signal is a toggle signal that switches between the front trail and the rear trail.

So the trailing spark signal fires twice per RPM.

The toggle changes between ON and OFF to switch between front and rear and switches once per RPM.

Haltech and Microtech can use this trailing toggle no problem.

It's one less things to worry about if you can use the stock components.



This means the v4 and v4+ REQUIRES an alternate pair or ignitors or a two-channel ignition "box" to handle the trailings.

Do you see the disadvantage to this now?
