EMS For The T2...
#24
as ted would say, the ems is only as good as its tuner. any of these will do the job. the big pitfall of the microtech is that it needs to be sent back to aus if you change anything, so make up your mind now!

my suggestion to anyone in my immediate area is to go with the electromotive, everything else seems to come from austrailia. If you live in MD, DC, DE, VA, you can just drive to electromotive to get stuff or have things fixed. I just don't feel comfortable shipping the 1500 brain of my car to australia in the hopes that it can be fixed and it will return in a timely manner.

One thing's for sure, researching an EMS purchase is not an easy thing to do. Consumer Reports doesn't test these things!

It didnt take me long to pick one out. I decided to choose the Microtech because its more rare than the others. I liked the fact that it was made for a Rotary to begin with and you use the factory sensors so you dont have to drill and tap for others.
(its cheaper)

i'm using all the factory sensors on my haltech.
with the microtech if you decide to change anything, map sensor, coils, ignition pickup. it can be done but it needs to go back to austrailia, to the factory, whereas with any other ecu its a setting in a menu. its sort of the price you pay for getting something thats setup to a specific car, i guess

Why would you need to change any of that
The map sensor is in the ECU unless you option for the external. Technically the LT and LTX are the same, just a few different settings you can change for stock or aftermarket coils and why would you need a different ignition pickup
