well I finshed replacing some Vac hoses to take care of a vaccum leak.

and a new alternator because the old went bad.

I went to my local autoparts store at have my battery recharged ( my 86 GXL had been sitting for about 3 weeks)

I take it home to start my car and got nothing. my Gauges will not rise, my antenna will not work and my horn is dead, wind shield wipers are out too. WFT?!?

I don't even hear the sound of my starter when I turn the key.

I take back to have it checked out and the battery is still good (atleast thats what they tell me)

my head lights , emergency flashers work etc

before I recharged my battery my car would run untill I made a hard turn then it would shut off.

so this led me to believe my battery was the source of the problem

I even tried swaping my Bro RX-7 battery cuz he had more ca and cca on his battery then mine.

His:

CCA: 700

CA: 875

mine

CCA:575

CA: 719

I've been working on this car on and off for over 6 months now, It's REALLy pissing me off

I'm going to check my fuses

my question is what else should look into

check your main fuse under the hood (either an 80 or 100amp...in the middle of the whole row of 6 or 7 fuses)

im guessing you didnt take off the neg. terminal while installing the alternator...grounded the alt. positive to the chassis and blew the fuse.

key note: it may look good, mine did, but unbolt it and remove the plastic cover with a small screwdriv er and make sure the whole thing is in 1 piece.

UIM- Upper intake manifold

LIM- Lower intake manifold.

You have an S4, so you have the ugly manifold set up. S5 looks better in my opinion.
