well, driving home from my Army unit today, I put it in 1st gear, and something doesn't feel right, I move the stick to the left, and it doesn't spring back to center like it should, that, plus when it is in 2nd gear, there is a LOT of play in the shifter, exactly like I have bad bushings, except I put new bushings in it, about 6 months ago, and it only does it in 1st and 2nd, could the bushings have gone bad that fast? or could it just be the bushing spring or something? it is pissing me off, because nobody likes to handle a sloppy stick.

You might want to drain the gear fluid from the shifter assembly. I did it with a siphon pump, spare atf and alot of time. Top it off with some MT90, and that should fix the prob. Otherwise you might need new bushings.

I would pop the shifter out and check out the bushings, make sure everything is ok. See what it looks like in there.

the more I drive, the more I am certain it is the bushings, or more likely the spring that goes under the lower bushing, feels like it is busted on the left hand side, since 3rd, and 4th are still gootentight, at least not as bad as first and second, and when I last changed the bushings, the spring was completely snapped, and it was acting the same, heh, maybe I can tell the ricers that I "shift so mad quick yo" that I bust shifter bushings every 6 months
