cutting out at 4k
#21
okay what the ****
tried my NA ecu for ***** and giggles
same
damn
thing.
cuts out like a fuel cut, wideband goes lean.
so, injectors are good, wiring is good, ecu is good. WTF.
what in the world could possibly cause my injectors to just not come on? afm? some other sensor? waht else has control over the secondaries coming on?
if it was an ignition problem, like bad plugs or misfiring or soemthing, the wideband wouldnt show lean would it?

tomorrow im switching the primaries and the secondaries around.
i really doubt itll do anything. unless somehow my 550 secondaries and the 720s i have are both fucked up.
but if it doesnt run, problem solved, secondaries are shitty.
if it still does the same thing, im going to shoot myself.
there HAS to be something im missing thats crucial for the secondaries to come on

this is a real long shot, but seths s5 did the same thing, plugging in the fuel pressure solenoid fixed it. only needs to be hooked up electrically
which one of those thingamajigs is it?

grounded the **** out of everything. ran a ground from the battery - to one of the ecu bolts, then from there to the harness ground on the motor, then from there to the stock - battery cable. still cuts out.
im stumped.
boost sensor reads about 3.2v at 8psi
i guess ill switch the primaries and secondaries around, although i doubt there bad as ive tried two sets of secondaries.
if i downshift at 40 into second and put the car around 4k, and accelerate VERY lightly i can make it past the cut. but any more throttle then it takes to barely accelerate and the wideband goes way lean, like 15-16afr.
an ignition problem like bad plugs or a misfire or something wouldnt cause a lean condition? im stumped so i figure id ask about anything else that might be causing it.
car ran fine on the same harness when it was na, no problems at all. so the harness should be good..

fucked with the tps randomly
cuts at 4.5k now.
so, tps being off doesnt make it cut, i dont think. ill multimeter it and find out
I had a bad set of secondary's and this is EXACTLY what it did. Under light throttle is was okay... but hit the gas and it cut out bad. Quick tip would be to swap the injectors around.
